Gymnastics Classes at Starz

Class Attendance Up From Last Year

Twinkle Tot / Parent and Me: This class is for children walking to 3, and is 45-minutes of fun for your toddler and an adult participant. Incorporating music and movement for discovering new gross motor skills in a safe environment to direct energy interact with other toddlers and learn new things! (These classes require an adult to participate with the child.)

Beginning ages 3 and ages 4-5: These 45 minute classes include an ever-changing obstacle course; incorporating a variety of games, activities and basic gymnastics skills. We work on developing balance, coordination and strength.

Intermediate ages 3 and 3–5: These 45-minute classes focus on rolls, cartwheels and handstands. Swings and strength movements on the bars, and various balance movements. Vault is introduced as well as Trampoline, which is always the children’s favorite!

Advanced ages 5-6: This is a wonderful one-hour class for 5 & 6 year olds. Students will learn new skills while developing balance, coordination and strength on all events.
In our Tots program beginning, intermediate and advanced students are often combined in one class. The instructor will vary each student’s activity based upon the child’s skill level.

Ages 5 +

Introduction to Trampoline: This 1-hour class focuses on a foundation for progressively more difficult trampoline skills. Starting with jump basics and progressing through different types of back and front aerial skills. (For children 6 years of age and older)

Introductory Gymnastics: These 1-hour classes teach basic skills and terminology. Rolls, jumps, swings, handstands, bridges and cartwheel are taught .Skills are learned on all 5 apparatus, which includes trampoline.

Intermediate Gymnastics: These 90-minute classes work on handstands, round offs and backbends. Power and body control drills on the vault. Pullovers and hip circles on bars. Balance skills on the beam. (Students are asked to attend multiple classes each week)

Tumbling: These 60 minute classes build strength, flexibility and endurance. Students learn rolls, cartwheels, round offs, back and front handsprings and flips. Classes are taught utilizing the floor, trampoline and tumble track. (Our Wednesday tumbling class is 75 minutes and is priced differently.)

Freestyle:This 1 hour class is perfect for snow boarders, skate boarders and skiers. It focuses on air awareness, learning and perfecting tricks, and developing strength

Adult Gymnastics:This 1 hour class builds strength, flexibility and endurance. Adults learn tumbling utilizing the floor, trampoline and tumble track, along with conditioning on bars and beam.
